Explore sites and learn the history behind the Calumet and Hecla Mining Company!
The Calumet and Hecla Mining Company (C&H) was a copper mining leader in the United States. This tour includes interpreted visits to original mine site of C&H copper exploration, former neighborhoods built by C&H for their workers, mining sites that marked the end of C&H’s existence and see the impact of C&H lavish system of paternalism.

CLIFF, CENTRAL, AND DELAWARE MINE TOUR
Explore above and underground sites and learn the history behind the Cliff, Central, and Delaware Mine!
This tour includes interpreted visits to the sites of some of the earliest successful modern mining operations in Michigan’s Copper Country. Join this guided walk through a mining company ghost town, one of the oldest cemeteries in the Keweenaw, and a historic mining tunnel.

The Copper Range Mining Company (CRMC) was a large copper mining company. This tour includes interpreted visits to original CRMC sites, a walk through the neighborhood of executive housing, stories of the impact of CRMC’s paternalism throughout the range, and explanations of the rise and fall of this once booming company.

STORY OF THE QUINCY MINING COMPANY TOUR
Explore sites and learn the history behind the Quincy Mining Company!
The Quincy Mining Company (QMC) was once known as “Old Reliable” in the copper mining world. This tour includes interpreted visits to original mine sites, homes previously owned by the QMC, and explanations of the QMC reclamation process from start to finish. Hear about Yooper Ted’s personal research on the history of the company!

COPPER COUNTRY HISTORIC ICE RINK TOUR
Explore sites and learn the history behind the historic ice rinks in the Copper Country!
This tour includes interpreted visits to the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena on Michigan Tech’s Campus, the HOCO Ice Rink in Hancock, the Colosseum in Calumet, and the birthplace of professional hockey, Dee Stadium in Houghton.
